Introduction:

Sanford Health plans to build US$210 million of construction projects in the Sioux Falls area including two new clinics and an orthopaedic hospital.

Features:

The project includes $160 million expansion of its orthopaedics facilities, adding two floors to the Van Demark building at its main hospital campus in Sioux Falls and an adjacent 163,000-square-foot orthopaedics hospital.

A new orthopaedic center planned to construct will include 12 operating rooms, with space for more, as well as a Sanford Home Medical Equipment Center, and an Orthopaedic walk-in clinic.The expansion is expected to be completed in 2023.

The new clinic covering an area of 33,000 square footwill add 23 exam rooms, room for additional surgeons and other providers, radiology and 16 new patient rooms.Van Demark Buildingis scheduled to complete its construction by 2022. In addition, Veterans Parkway constructionwill enable people living on east side of Sioux Falls, to get better access cutting edge health care services.

The 42,000 square foot clinicwill house family medicine, paediatrics and obstetrics, acute care, and include 3-D mammography. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
