Introduction:

Ocala Health plans to invest US$56M to expand Ocala Regional Medical Center Campus.

Features:

Ocala Health will add nearly 35,000 square feet of new space and renovate 50,000 square feet of existing space as part of its expansion of Ocala regional medical center campus.

These projects represent an increase in capacity of approximately 15% (34 more inpatient beds).

The expansion of the project will include:

•    34 inpatient beds will be added newly. This makes the total of 256 inpatient beds.
•    12 emergency room beds and also new entrance to the emergency department will be added, bringing the total to 32 emergency room beds
•    2 large operating rooms and support areas will be added. This makes the total of 13 operating rooms.
•    Addition of biplane for interventional procedures

Ocala Health will also add a fifth floor shell to the campus of West Marion Community Hospital to more quickly add rooms when needed in the future.
