Introduction:

Mercy Health Plans to build a $56.3 million facility to Perrysburg campus to house expanded services for patients in the Perrysburg and surrounding communities. The new facility will house a hospital, surgery center and medical offices, all in one location.

Features:

The new facility reflects a forward thinking approach whereby healthcare systems create destination campuses where patients have access to comprehensive services in one location where they live and work. The hospital and medical office building will be designed with patient care in mind. In particular, patients desire a place close to home that still offers high quality care at a lower cost. This new facility will do just that.

The hospital will offer 28 inpatient beds designed for patients needing 2-3 nights for inpatient treatment or care. This is in addition to the 18 beds currently under construction on the third floor of the cancer center which will connect seamlessly to the new unit when the facility opens in 2019.

Not only will Perrysburg and the surrounding communities benefit from this hybrid model of care, but it will also bring approximately up to 177 new jobs to the community by year three from its opening.

The 101,000-square foot facility will begin construction this summer and is anticipated to open in Spring 2019.
