Introduction:

HonorHealth and Universal Health Services, Inc. broke ground to begin construction of a new 120-bed behavioral health facility to be named Via Linda Behavioral Hospital.

Features:

The new hospital will address the growing need for accessible, high-quality advanced behavioral health services in Phoenix, Scottsdale and the surrounding communities.

The 120-bed hospital will provide both inpatient and outpatient services, including specialty services for patients of all ages (adolescents, adults, and older adults), and perform behavioural health assessments 24 hours a day.

The facility will offer behavioural health assessments and programs for patients with behavioural health and substance use issues.

It will also include programs for common mental and behavioural health issues, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders, as well as schizophrenia.

The treatment options available would be both intensive outpatient and partial hospitalisation.

UHS will be the majority owner and will look after the day-to-day operations and management of the hospital. The facility is part of the organisation's effort to increase access to care for Scottsdale and the surrounding communities.

The healthcare facility is planned to open in the third quarter of 2021.
