Introduction:

Evelina plans to build a new surgery centre to provide life-changing care for more children and young people at Evelina London.

The expansion is made to help people meet the rising demand for its services. It includes next phase of development plans with additional state-of-the-art facilities to treat sick and most complex patients.

A newly dedicated children’s day surgery centre is designed adjacent to existing hospital, to better serve growing capacity for planned diagnostic and surgical procedures. New surgical centreprovides extra capacity with operating theatres, advanced diagnostic facilities and inpatient floors.

Evelina London’shospital services have been rapidly growing, doubling inpatient activity and more than doubling outpatient activity. Thus, to meet the increasing existing and future demands new development plans have been made with improved facilities to better help patients, families and staff.

Day surgery centre constructed by leading UK construction group, Morgan Sindall is expected to be opened in 2022.
